Tantalum Ingot (Ta Ingot)
Tantalum Ingot is the raw material for other smaller and thinner products. Tantalum is especially resistant to chemicals at temperatures below 300F and can only be dissolved with hydrofluouric acid. Tantalum has the fourth highest melting point of all metals and is able to form extremely thin and protective oxide layers for high-quality capacitors.
Applications of Tatalum metal ingots:
• Used in laboratory equipment.
• As a substitute for platinum.
• Manufacturing super alloys and electron-beam melting.
• Used in metallurgical, machinery processing, glass and ceramic industries.
• Superalloy additive in nickel-based alloys.
• Used for sputtering targets.
Edgetech Industries LLC also provide tailor-made Ta alloy ingot, such as Ta-W alloy ingot, Ta-Nb alloy ingots.
Specifications for our Ta ingot and Ta-W alloy ingots

Tantalum Ingot Applications
-Laboratory Equipment: Tantalum heating elements are widely used in laboratory environments to provide precise and controlled heating for a variety of experimental, testing and research applications.
-Platinum Substitute: Tantalum is an effective substitute for platinum in a variety of applications due to its high melting point, corrosion resistance and cost-effectiveness, making it a preferred choice in certain industrial processes.
-High Temperature Alloys and Electron Beam Melting: Tantalum is an integral part of the production of high temperature alloys, improving their strength and corrosion resistance. It is also used in electron beam melting processes, which helps create high-performance materials.
-Metallurgy, Machinery, Glass and Ceramic Industries: Tantalum can be used in a variety of industries such as metallurgy, machining, glass and ceramics, and its unique properties help create durable and reliable components.
-High Temperature Alloy Additives: Tantalum is a key additive in nickel-based high temperature alloys that improves their overall performance in high stress and high temperature environments, making them suitable for aerospace and other demanding industries.
-Sputtering Targets: Tantalum is used in the production of sputtering targets and plays a key role in thin film deposition processes used in the semiconductor industry and other applications that require precise material deposition.
