Tantalum Rod / Tantalum Bar
We provide tantalum rod, bar, cylinder in length of up to 2m and in diameter of up to 120 mm. We also provide tantalum tungsten and tantalum niobium alloy rods & bars per request.
Edgetech offers customers a wide variety of tantalum rod, bar, and wire products that are engineered for a variety of applications. Our products are cold rolled and annealed using a proprietary process that produces ideal metallurgical properties for applications such as sputtering gun barrels, machining into fasteners, X-ray or radiation shielding, medical markers for surgeons, vacuum furnace heating elements, chlorinator springs, light bulb components, or machined parts for chemical processing equipment.
Our tantalum rods are manufactured by cold rolling a large diameter tantalum ingot into a smaller diameter and performing an intermediate anneal to recrystallize the metal, then repeating the process. This process ensures that the metallurgy of the rod is uniform. Tantalum rods and bars are typically centerless ground to ensure a smooth and uniform surface. Typically, customers who plan to process the rods tend to choose unannealed material, while customers who plan to further draw or roll the material request annealed material.

Packaging of our Tantalum
ETI’s Ta rods and bars are clearly tagged and labeled externally to ensure efficient identification and quality control. Great care is taken to avoid any damage on product which might be caused during storage or transportation. Outer package for tantalum is usually wooden crate.
