Lutetium Carbonate
Lutetium Carbonate (Lu2(CO3)3), also known as Lutetium (III) Carbonate Hydrate, is one of the important lutetium compounds. Compounds of lutetium always contain the element in the oxidation state +3. Aqueous solutions of most lutetium salts are colorless and form white crystalline solids upon drying, except the iodide. Lutetium salts, such as nitrate, sulfate and acetate are water soluble while the oxide, hydroxide, fluoride, carbonate, phosphate and oxalate are insoluble in water.
Purity of our Lutetium Carbonate Hydrate
Lu2(CO3)3•xH2O, TREO: >42%
REO/TREO: 3N, 4N
Applications of Lutetium Carbonate Hydrate
-Lutetium Carbonate is used as catalyst in petroleum cracking in refineries.
-Lutetium Carbonate is used to make laser crystal.
-Some lutetium compounds also have specific uses.E.g.: lutetium tantalate (LuTaO4) is the densest known stable white material (density 9.81 g/cm3) and therefore is widely used in X-ray phosphors.
-Lutetium Carbonate is used in in alkylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization applications.
-Lutetium Carbonate used in ceramics, glass, phosphors, and lasers.
Packaging of our Lutetium Carbonate Hydrate
