Lutetium Acetate

Lutetium acetate, also known as Lutetium (III) acetate hydrate, is one of the important lutetium compounds. Lutetium acetate is moderately water soluble and decomposes to Thorium oxide upon heating. Aqueous solutions of most lutetium salts are colorless and form white crystalline solids upon drying. Lutetium salts such as nitrate, sulfate, and acetate are water soluble while the oxide, hydroxide, fluoride, carbonate, phosphate and oxalate are insoluble.

Purity of our Lutetium (III) Acetate Hydrate

Applications of Lutetium (III) Acetate Hydrate
-Lutetium (III) Acetate is used as catalyst in petroleum cracking in refineries.
-Lutetium (III) Acetate is used in alkylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization applications.
-Some lutetium compounds also have specific uses.E.g.: lutetium tantalate (LuTaO4) is the densest known stable white material (density 9.81 g/cm3) and therefore is widely used in X-ray phosphors.
-Lutetium (III) Acetate is used in biology, printing, and vinvyl acetate.
-Lutetium (III) Acetate used in ceramics, glass, phosphors, and lasers.
